DJ Chinue

The name Chinue (pronounced Chin-whey) translates to mean "A blessing from God", and this filly certainly is just that.  When I saw her very first baby pictures, I knew in my heart she was to be mine.  Financially we were not in a position to acquire another horse, so I was unsure as to why I was feeling as if she was to be mine, but I couldn't ignore the feeling in my heart telling me to inquire about her.  After a couple of conversations back and forth with Jennifer Gilson of Desert Jewel, we came up with a plan that allowed Chinue to come home to me at last.  I cannot express in words how grateful I am for Jen's willingness to work with me and make my dreams come true!

Since arriving to our farm, Chinue, or Diva, as she is affectionately known around the farm, has 100% stolen my heart.  She is always one step behind you, always searching for attention of any sort.  She is incredibly smart, only trying once or twice to get her way before deciding it isn't worth the effort, and the amount of patience she has for her age is outstanding.

What I am most excited about is her movement; this girl was made for the dressage arena!  Even though she is growing like a weed and is currently down-hill, she still somehow manages to move like she is built up-hill with more shoulder movement and hind-end engagement than most Gypsies.  She has a very feminine head, a gorgeous rainbow neck, an incredibly short back, and a very full apple rump.  Add to that the fact that I am a sucker for a red head, and you can see why Diva is the whole package!
