Ambro Heather
Although we were not looking to add another horse to our ever-growing family, Evie, as she is fondly known around the farm, was a mare that we could not pass up. Purchased by description and photographs only, Evie was worth the gamble and has surpassed all of our expectations and then some.
Standing a solid 17.2 hands, this mare is truly magnificent. Although all of our mares are loving and sweet, Evie is exceptionally so, seeming the most content with human companionship. Her eyes imply intelligence, and she has a very charasmatic presense about her. She has the most gorgeous head I have ever seen on a Clydesdale as well as more feather than I ever thought possible. The icing on the cake is definitely her movement; Evie's movement is unsurpassable. She floats effortlessly and is incredibly light on her feet for such a big girl. Her future in the dressage arena looks bright, indeed.
Evie has had one foal to date, a purebred Clydesdale colt sired by City Knight, born May 2, 2009, whom we purchased with Evie. Although he had a bit of a rough start to life, Ozzy's quality shines through. He possesses the same overly-sweet personality of his dam as well as her loud coloring. DWF has potential plans to breed Evie in the future, but not until at least 2011 as she is far too talented to be a full-time broodmare. Be sure to check back for updates on our very special girl!
