Minnesota Horse Expo

Duna and I attended the 2010 Minnesota Horse Exposition in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Horse Expo was our first "show" of the season, and it was the biggest event Duna has ever done. She was a little overwhelmed with all of the people, but who could blame her? A horse as gorgeous as she is attracts a large crowd, all surrounding her, petting her, and tugging at her hair. Though she handled it well, I could tell she was becoming stressed, so we resorted to staying in the barn as much as possible, only sneaking out to graze in the early mornings and late evenings. She was much happier in the barn and loved to greet all the passing visitors. Duna shared a very special moment with one gentleman in particular, a gentleman with Down syndrome. He walked up to her and gave her whole head a hug. She, in return, buried her face in his chest and enjoyed the embrace. It was a very touching moment for all who witnessed it.
